Kochi: With the fifth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale set to be kicked off on December 12, Ernakulam District Collector Dr. Renu Raj IAS on Wednesday took stock of the preparedness for the mega international art event.
The collector visited the main venues of the Biennale, which is being held after a gap of four years, along with Bose Krishnamachari, President of Kochi Biennale Foundation, and Bony Thomas, Founder trustee. District Development Commissioner Chetan Kumar Meena IAS, Mattancherry ACP Arun K. Pavitran IPS, Fort Kochi RDO-in-charge Padmachandra Kurup, and Kochi Tahsildar Sunitha Jacob accompanied them.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the four-month-long event at Fort Kochi Parade Ground at 6.30 pm on December 12. The exhibitions and installations as part of the fiesta, touted as the country’s biggest contemporary art show, will be held at 14 centers. The event will be concluded on April 14, 2023.
The entry fee for adults is Rs 150/person and that for children is Rs 50.
